Reviews for "Endless War: Defense"

Endless war

I clicked into it expecting it to be another endless war.
It kept me playing still,

Has potential

If I can't turn the music off, I end up turning the game off. Beyond that, it's a neat new perspective on defense games.

Cool concept but could be a lot better

I'm a big fan of the Endless War series, and I do like the attempt to incorporate a defense-based game. With all of the variety of soldiers/weapons in the series, I wasn't surprised that there were such a wide variety of defense units in the game :).

With that being said, I lost interest with this game after about 10 minutes total of playing it. The problem is that this game utterly lacks challenge, information, and interactiveness. I'll address these three points on by one.

1) Challenge: Complete lack of challenge. It was basically impossible to lose. The enemy did the absolute same thing every level, which was throw forward a few tanks, and then march in a couple of rows of men to their deaths.

2) Information: Too little information available to the player all the way around. Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't tell at all what was the different statistically between different units. All I could do was guess based on the names. And on the battlefield, I had no idea what the health status of my units were.

3) Interactivity: Very lacking in interactivity, probably due to the lack of challenge as well as the lack of information. Once you built up your defenses, you basically get to take a nap. There's nothing to watch (just a barren field with enemy soldiers disappearing one by one).

I like the idea behind this game, but a lot of work needs to be done to make this actually enjoyable.

Fun

I found it a lot of fun overall. Music and sound effects could use different toggles but that's a fairly minor point. A larger battlefield would be interesting to encourage manual control on the vehicles, it would give a little more room to play around. But those are just minor quibbles and I found it a lot of fun.

horrid music!

completely ruins the fun in this game.
