I like the concept but it's hard to see where it's possible to go a level/layer up...

Mad concept!
The game concept is sick, but it lacks some interest. Also as others suggested, the graphics could be improved, bacause they are too plain at the moment.
You should definitely try to think of some way to make it more interesting, and also work a bit on the presentation.
Really Clunky Controls
the game was fun but the controls where a bit on the cluncky side. Like I would press a or z and sometimes would have to hit them several times before I would get a response from the game and the same with the up down leftt right arrow keys. The controls aside the game is fun and kept me into it for the 21+ minutes it took me to finish it and great concept. Maybe the game itself is a little on the easy side. Other than that it was a good time thanks.
Only way...
This could be better is if you had storylines, and life lessons, and character interaction and the like, but similar to an RPG where you can choose the way you go or something like that, and then it'd be so much cooler because it'd be like it is, and also you choose the way you go developmentally.
Two other ways, actually, that this could be better, is if you could move through time, and then the next dimension as well, and/or if you made it so there were other items you had to collect.
Enemies aren't very necessary.
It's an awesomeness concept.
