I've seen worse...
...because I've not seen any better... The game is fun, at times challenging and you've apparently put quite a lot of thought into the gameplay systems and that stuff ;) Got 808878 points in arcade before I got tired of "digging" and running... The only thing I would like to be changed is the variety of enemies, because three types (plus boss) is a bit... boring after a while. But over all a very good game!

It gets VERY hard starting around day 20 (in arcade that is).
I do agree story mode is easy and you can get to day 10 without any upgrades for your soldier but u need at least the rocket launcher to kill the worm.
When youve played through story and move onto arcade, thats when things get hard. It becomes extremely hard to defend even a fully upgraded base with a fully upgraded man (that is full stats, full best armor, and auto rocket) during the night around day 25.
Also NO you cannot outrun enemies even with top speed. They will be on your ass no matter how fast you try to run.
All im saying is that Thorgold's review is crappy and he obviously did not take the time to truly play the game and experience it fully. This is a great game and i recommend it to everyone

Awesome game.
But there's one thing that Really bothered me. I was playing the game with the thought of survival and only survival. This worked great, until I got to day 10, thinking "Well, it's been great. Too bad it's over already.", when all of the sudden, a giant worm come out of nowhere and kills me several times. I would have been great if you had, say, put a "You see a huge presence under / coming toward you. And it looks hostile." in the introduction. That's about all I can find wrong. Other that that, this is one of the best damn games I've played on the internet.
Quite Enjoyable
I didn't waste my time on intermediary upgrades, just went straight for 2nd best turret, then best base. I didn't bother at all with armor, and only fabricated a weapon at the very end. Was a little surprised my turret didn't attack the giant wurm, but nothing a little rocket launcher couldn't take care of with a little dodging in and out of base.
All in all, I enjoyed it!
