Reviews for "Wayfinder: Episode One"

Cool

it very good but im stuck at the cave dont know what to do but realy great game

Good Game

Take a little of time cuz i forgot the lighter on the ship. I shouldnt have been able to get off the ship without it and the number lock thing is another little problem cuz i cut it the pad and couldnt see the code so i had to start all over. all in all, a good games besides the other 2 problems which should be fixed next game.

Hyptosis responds:

The lighter is optional though, you don't need it to beat the game, thanks! ^^

not bad at all

Your first game seems to be a success, i enjoyed playing it. had to use the walk through for the numbers to open the box. very good, i hope to see more from you in the future.

An EXCELLENT first game.

This is one of the best first games I've ever played. But it does have some flaws.

First, the things that need improvement:
1. Puzzles that involve ordered input (first and third door puzzles) are huge pains, since the order whizzes by.
2. The second door puzzle is counter-intuitive. I would suggest adding more hints in the datapad.
3. Label the two buttons on the start screen.
4. Having visible numbers for EXP, HP (own and enemy), and Shields would have been nice.

If the sequel is a bigger game, you'll obviously want to make exp scale to player level, add a save system, and beef up the battle system.

Remember, if most people have to reference your walkthrough to solve a puzzle, it means that something's wrong with it (too fast, not enough clues, or just too hard).

Now, onto the good:
The art was amazing, and all of the characters were well voiced (although Wiley spoke a little too slowly for me at times). Even though we only saw a small slice of it, the universe you created has already grabbed my interest and left me wanting more. It was also refreshing to see one of these games where the player isn't the captain (although I wish you had told us that before we met Matchstick).

You've got a future with these games!

Hyptosis responds:

Thanks for the information and the thoughts, really helps me out. ^^

Ok i guess

Couldent get though the second stone door when i got there because i couldent work out the code. But some nice art and story line
