Reviews for "FearUnlimited:Origin Demo"

Awesome!

That was actually an awesome demo from what I thought it would be but in the full version could you make the recover time (getting up) faster or at least upgradeable cuz it's really slow getting up. Great game otherwise hope to see more of this game sometime soon!

Squamata responds:

thanks for the pointer. Once i get an operational computer Ill get right on it lol

i dunno how the reviews are inversely proportioned to the score but so long as people are enjoying it

i like this fear unlimited origin. and oh how can i get some new weapons like dudagera and revolution and hiru & jukata and HinaUri and i want to kill urami over and over. im a big fan

I LIKE IT. IT IS GODLY

Dude, you must upload the full thing soon. Can't wait. Urami sucks. he is like Vergil. A cheap copy of Vergil

Squamata responds:

uramis got more swords so hes insta better.

Hes not really the primary villain in this one though. Hes one of them

Fantastic.

You have really taken a big step from the older F.U games to this one.

Mainly with animations and gameplay now we dont have to spam the same combo over and over again. Now we can swicht quickly from one combo to another.

I hope to see more of these series.

Renewed hope

Dude, I must say that I was pretty dissapointed with your earlier releases since FU 2 Issue 1. However, I still had a slim hope that you would one day show your talent and create another that was as good as FU 2 Issue 1, and I must say this hit the mark head on.
-Pluses
*The graphics and animations were great. Encon finally looked and moved well again like he did back in the demo for the second issue. The spinning gun animation was pretty slick too.
*New combos as weapons level up? Awesome! Didn't get to see much more cuz I didn't wanna grind the exp, but I saw enough :D
*The green drops finally give noticable health boosts, hurray (cuz I kinda suck and my comp slows sometimes :D )
*The very best part that I enjoyed were the boss fights. These bosses were fairly difficult and still did pretty lethal damage to keep you on your toes. Also I love that they didn't have a ridiculous defence that slowed the pace of the game. I mean, in the first FU, bosses had a red wave that auto triggered if you comboed too much and hurt real bad (forcing you to attack, then run away and wait). In FU 2 issue 1, some bosses just had too much health for a first run, greatly slowing the pace since your damage was just too low with the current levels and the battle would drag on. And finally, the most hated one was in Issue 2 and its demo cuz some bosses had too much of an auto block and you were forced to use your gun, which of course, did very little damage. Anyways, going away from memory lane, the bosses here were balanced, challenging, and GOOD GOD, I absolutely dig the action trigger where you had to press the D button (It shocked me so much when I saw the mini clash with the Prejudice and then the D button).
*Finally, thank you for putting the forward and backward dodge's ability to interrupt your actions back. Now I didn't have to watch myself get hurt while waiting for the animation to end! Well, most of the time :D

-Reccomendations
*I would suggest lowering the hp of some minions, especially the normal red ones, at least in the early stages where you know people haven't upgraded yet. Cutting through 20 lower Hp minions is much more fun than 10 minions who take longer to kill since it keeps the pace going.
*The dragon rise (I think thats what it was called back then, down + D) animation wouldn't let you move while you were in the air except if you attack. I don't know, it just seems weird to me that Encon couldn't move after the jumping uppercut.
*Back in issue 1, you could do additional backflips after the first back dodge. Personally, I think it was nice and would like to see it again.
*How about a slower down time when switching from gun -> sword, or vice versa (at least for the Uzi). I mean since the thing doesnt have kick back anymore, it would be more useful and you could mix up gun and sword combos better adding more fun. It just felt to slow to swing your sword after you pelted them with some bullets.
*For the action trigger, I do hope to see different buttons other the D key. Otherwise, It would be too easy and predictable. Heck, make them random even. It'll be cool as long as its not always the D key.
*I dont know if this was a bug, but sometimes when I pressed down + D, or Down + D in the air, Encon repeated the animation's first few milliseconds of him about to slash, several times even. So I was forced to watch as my silly character kept drawing his sword, and was usually hit since it wouldn't cancel out for some reason.

Other than that though, everything was just top notch. I have been a fan of FU since the first one and I've kept up with it ever since. Though i felt dissapointed in some of your recent work, my hope is once again alive for FU. So good luck with your future works, and I do hope to see this soon.
