You purposefully made a terrible game. Good job.

I Wanna Be The Guy isn't a terrible game. It's frustrating, devilishly designed, and requires incredible patience and memorization skills.

But it's a good game in the "Nintendo Hard" vein of old NES titles. In fact it's pretty blatantly a parody of them.

This, on the other hand, is a shoddy product for th exact reason you list in your Edit of the author notes. You shouldn't be proud that you not only ripped off the idea, execution, and, well, everything. But you didn't even do a good job of mimicing the propery you want to rip off.

It's a parody of a parody. And it handles like a joke too. And this comes from someone who has played the crap out of, beaten, and adores this game in its proper form.

There is zero originality here. Which wouldn't even have really been a problem if this game worked properly. But it doesn't.

Really? This is just horrible.

Why create a vastly inferior flash game for people to play when they original game is much MUCH better and is... I dunno... free? This game isn't worth playing seriously at all. Just suicide for the medals and then go play another flash game. Not worth any more time that that.

NOT a good game, Period.

Haven beaten the game, I can honestly say that it's no good. It is not user friendly what so ever and difficult, though the developer did point this out to be intentional. But even then, Major steps could have been taken to make it a much better looking AND playable game - such as platforms and double jumping. This game has no replay value whatsoever, even remembering all the traps and ways to go.

With that said, I still had to laugh at myself for getting so frustrated as such a simplistic game. I even had a "ah f***!!! NOT BRINISTAR!!!!" moment, when I saw him appear. Now there is a game that is good to play, yet difficult to master.

Ripoff

I don't think you understand that we aren't aggrivated by it being a non-average game. This game is clearly a flash version of I Wanna Be the Guy. The problem is, while it is like IWBTG, the pacing is off and the whole inability to turn on a dime makes this a very bad version of IWBTG. We don't hate it because of the difficulty, it was just very badly planned and thought out.

I am one of the rare people who actually have beaten IWBTG. Couldn't you have at least given the author some credit? This is just junk. Same game over screen and music... "We encourage videos of peoples gameplay be posted on youtube for other players viewing pleasure." No. Fuck you. This couldn't be MORE STOLEN OR UNORIGINAL! "Edit II: You guys seems to hate games that don't agree with the usual concept of how games work, this isn't an average game." We hate it because it is trying to be something, and you're really trying to take credit for the idea. For anyone who reads this IWBTG is another indie game, I wish it was in flash, but right now it's not. It's just like this, only it doesn't suck, and isn't a rip off.
