Reviews for "For Now, Goodbye (Improv)"

8 minutes of BlazingDragon piano goodness! Must be our lucky day!!

So... first of all, this is really good. That should goes without saying as I've almost taken your piano skills for granted.

But I do have a small complaint: I feel that it's too long to have such a short fluent portion, as it seems to slow down/go offbeat/stop altogether far too often. Maybe it's intended for sentimental purposes, and I think it's good for the intros and outros, but not for pretty much the entire song. That's why "Impromptu - Spring" is still your best piano improv. in my book.

Nonetheless, I can still listen to this all day. Keep up the good work and get (completely) well soon!

BlazingDragon responds:

Your complaint is a valid one, as I tend to meander in a sort of contemplative mist when improvising. Sometimes it results in potent sentiment, and other times it may come across as hesitation. In a long recording, I can understand how that might disrupt the flow. Sometimes I'll do a single piano improv for close to thirty minutes and will go all over the place in a totally unrestrained manner, but I avoid uploading those!

I used to be REALLY bad about starting and stopping as I tried to figure out what to do next. I've improved significantly but am still not totally seamless in my playing. I think improvising to a metronome would probably help me maintain flow better, so I'll try to start doing that for practice.

Thanks for the constructive criticism Gagodry! It is much appreciated. :)

i really like it your skill are really good

Thank you very much, and thanks for taking the time to leave a review. :D

This is a great comeback song for coming back after a rough time. :)

Glad you were able to stay with us, blaze.

Welcome home.

BlazingDragon responds:

Glad to be back my friend! Thank you very much. :D

Well done!

A really nice track. The mood is exactly as the title describes. It is a little bit melancholic while still with a very poitive touch. No dispensable notes - everything fits for me :D Nice velocity- and speed. Very touching. I really love the variantly quite powerful and reflicting parts ... darn expressive and emotional.

Added to fav, dl and from me as piano-lover: 5/5

All the Best!

BlazingDragon responds:

Thanks Chris! Your piano chops really blow me away, and what you did with Café de Paris is darn impressive. That said, your review is that much more meaningful to me. :)

Thanks for the fav, download, and review!

I love the wavey feeling that we get from the dynamics. Keep up the amazing work and I can't wait to hear more :)

BlazingDragon responds:

Thanks for leaving a review! Keep an eye out for more in the near future. :)
