Very fun game, with a few small problems.
This game was very enjoyable, and I spent several hours playing it before I beat it. I really like the huge variety of weapons, but there were a lot of them that weren't very useful. There weren't any lasers that I felt were good compared to other weapons of the same level because of the low firing speed and the inability to hit multiple targets unless you also hit a mine or missile. Also, the lightning weapons never were able to compare to other weapons (even with the chain hits some of them had) because of a slow rate of fire. The homing function was nice, but the slow hits were too big of a disadvantage.
I felt that the rockets, grenades, and saws were well balanced against each other because the high end weapons in each of those categories all felt comparable in strength (they all also happen to hurt the enemy multiple times when they connect). There was an error with the weapon called "Foul-Four Grenade Launcher". It's supposed to fire 4 grenades per shot, but it only fires 2.
I found the equipment screen to be clunky, and I also noticed that there was not a way to return to the equipment screen if you went to the Options. The only way to get back was to return to the game and pause it again. As far as being clunky goes, a way to organize the equipment would be a major improvement. It would also be nice if there was a message that told you what kind of item you got from recycling & redeeming. There were several times where I thought I had received a new item, but ignored it because I didn't feel like scrolling through an enormous list of gear.
This game was far better than many of the games that I've played on Newgrounds, so I hope my review isn't taken in a bad light. There are many excellent things about this game, but I felt writing about the problems would be more beneficial to you if you decide to come back and improve on it.
As a side note, I found the Triple Mutilator Saw Blade Launcher to be the best weapon for quickly dispatching enemies. Each blade can hit the enemy many more times than a grenade or rocket can. The blades will also bounce down to the next enemy if the first one is destroyed, which can result in a big chain of destruction and very quickly eliminate a group of enemies. They seem to disappear after they do damage around 10 times. The only disadvantage is that I found it much more difficult to hit the tiny missiles that appear with some of the enemy groups. With a little practice it's not a big enough problem to change weapons for.
