fucking amzing

I like this game
Characters is great
Music is awesome
But ending is suks

A game that I've played for several years and enjoyed every moment of it. But I just realized something...The pilot names are based off of the hosts of Top Gear. Jeremy Clarkson (Being the tallest red guy) James May (the mid green pilot) and Richard Hammond (the shortest blue pilot). I don't know why it took me so long to get that. Nice reference right there.

What you have here is a solid, fun game. There are a few small things that hold it back and interrupt and alter the fun, however.

The combat was very good. The use of shields really sets this game apart from other similar shooters, rewarding skill while not requiring it. At the same time, the different shields allow people to use their shield how they want. Perhaps just to avoid damage, perhaps to harm enemies, perhaps to save up, perhaps to spam EMP's to remove enemy bullets.

The varying weapons were really amazing as well, letting players do whatever they wanted and develop a playstyle.

There are some things that can be fixed, however. First off, there needs to be better organization of the inventory system. Perhaps categorize the weapons and shields by type, then have separate tabs for them. Even just putting shields and weapons in two different inventories would have been a great help.

There were a lot of weapons that were direct upgrades (just adding a +). Perhaps make recycling duplicates have the ability to remove inferior weapons would have helped.

A lot of the enemies are just recolored and then given new shooting patterns. The different shooting patterns are good, but it gets a bit boring seeing the same enemy in a new paint job 10 times over.

The dialogue was pretty boring. All the characters are pretty much professional military soldiers, and feel very stiff. Even the jokes they crack are stiff. You did the best you could with the characters, but it would have been better if you'd have come up with more distinct characters in the first place. Their interactions will be varied and it'll be easier to write conversations that are fun to read and make the players care more about the game. If you want a great example, try RPG shooter: starwish.

Also, some of the weapons felt a little unbalanced. Of course I understand rare weapons being better, but I had a really common weapon called the combat shotgun x3. For the longest time, it did as much damage as my other weapons while firing rapidly and shooting in 3 directions. I was able to kill some bosses before they could even start firing. Even later in the game, it was doing enough damage that it's sheer firing speed still outclassed many newer weapons. This kind of forcing is dangerous, it removes the freedom of having so many weapons, defeating the purpose of all that work you must have put in to making them.

Also, about rare weapons, I don't think it's a good idea to make them a rare drop. This isn't the kind of game you'd be willing to grind. I think instead it'd be better of there was another way to get rare weapons. Perhaps give two recycling options. One is the current, and the other takes 25 recycled items and gives you a new item which you do not already have.

Not the most satisfying ending. The ending of a game is pretty important, if you don't give a satisfactory ending, it doesn't feel like the game has concluded. It kind of just becomes...bleh. It doesn't leave any good memories or sense of satisfaction. That really hurts the game, despite how small it seems. It tips the difference between this game having a story and this game just being a shooting game with some dialogue to skip.

It's a solid space shooter with a decent upgrading and item system, but a shaky story and difficult inventory management keep it from being much more.

I have completed this game, and you know, THIS GAME HAS NO ENDING. After i beat the last mission it didn't show anything. Just returned me to a Mission Select Screen
