Reviews for "Homerun in Berzerk Land"

Meh...

Needs golden gun and nukes :D

Ehhh.....needs lots of overhauling

The game seems well thought out, but it is just too similar to others before it (Toss the Turtle, Hedgehog Launch, etc). Personally, I like Toss the Turtle better because it felt like it ran smoother and had mre gameplay options. Here's some pros and cons IMO:

Pros:
--Nice selection of weapons and items
--Getting to beat up annoying geeks is always fun
--Different characters to select from
--Interesting in-game boosters (commandos, mechs, cannons, etc)
--Having to get achievements in order to unlock certain weapons and items

Cons:
--Not enough in-game control, besides moving him slightly left/right, which gets redundant quickly (and annoying to have to hold the key unless you wanna pay $1,000 to not have to)
--Could have used better timing methods with the power smash (hard to time right unless the geek is falling from under 600 ft)
--The way the screen shifted in squares instead of having a solid moving screen got slightly annoying (although I can see how it goes with the "rock" theme of the game)
--Leveling up the characters takes too long
--You can only have three items equipped at a time. This feature would make sense in a strategic RPG or RTS type game, but not a simple aim-and-hit game. Just takes away from the overall fun.
--There is no way to un-equip an item. When a new item is purchased, it is auto-equipped, and it auto un-equips the newest equiped item before it. Basically, you're stuck with whatever first two items you buy, and then have to switch between lots of others for your third one.
--the only bonus to the "unlockable" characters is that they each have one stat that doesn't have a max limit to it. This would be nice if it didn't take multiple hours to be able to reach a level high enough to have that stat maxed.
--It takes waaaaaaaaaaay to long to accumulate enough diamonds to unlock the locked weapons and items, and then costs to much to actually purchase them. I played honestly for an hour (about the limit of my attention span to this game) and only had 130 diamonds

It just needs lots of work to make it stand out. This review isn't meant to bash the game or cut it down, but just to give some feedback on what is good and what can be improved.

uuuh

that was pretty much fun...not

Success

I would not recommend this game to any of my friends because there is already one out there similar to it that is simplier and more entertaining. It's called Kitten Cannon. I respect the creative differences, but I have no interest in unlocking any of these various items, weapons, trophies, and levels. I don't like bashing nerds, the dialogue was barely humorous, and the guy who appears whenever you get a KILLER SHOT takes too long to disappear. This game was well made, but I would not encourage anyone else to play it.

it glitched

it dose every thing for me
