Reviews for "Pixel Clicker"

Kind of glitchy

If you look, i was able to get the top score. this is not because i cheated, it's because when i clicked the pixel more then once, it counted for more then one. try fixing the game at some point.

It doesn't work at all.

I've played and restarted this game multiple times, and even if I click on the pixel for about 30 seconds, it still doesn't give me any points. I can't get anywhere with this game.

Not bad at all

I kinda liked it since I had to look really careful for those tiny dots and yea... my eyes started to hurt so i stop =/ but still its a really cool game at first i needed to clean my screen since I got confused.

Its really good for passing the moment not that addictive tho. 4/5

Difficulty can be good or bad; this game does both

A difficult task is good when it poses a fun challenge for the player to beat; finding the black pixel is that. A difficult task is bad when it's just an annoying hindrance to the player's enjoyment; having to click perfectly on the pixel is that. I believe the difference is that the precision required to click on the pixel (especially with a standard mouse and cursor) is excessive, as opposed to that needed to spot the pixel on the background.

There are some things you can do to help here:

1. Provide a more precise mouse cursor. In commonly used cursors it's very hard to tell to the pixel where the hotspot is. You could change it to something more helpful, like a small crosshair.

2. Make the clickable area a few pixels wide. The visible area can remain 1x1. If you want to reward extraordinary precision, you can make the time bonus depend on the distance from the clicked point to the actual pixel. You can play with this idea even further: subtract time from the player when they click too far from the pixel, rank each click as poor-OK-great-perfect, count great/perfect clicks as combos, etc.
