Perfection
This looks like it was a photo taken from a space station or something. Your art on space is just unmatched. How long does this kind of thing take you to do exactly? It's pretty obvious that it must have taken a while to put such extensive detail into the art.
well if I make one of my better pictures sarting from scrap, including planets and such it takes often more than 10 hours

hmm...
very nice... One comment though, that the star background has WAY too many stars in it (aka it's too bright) I'd like to see a couple of space images where the planet is on a stark, dead-feeling background.
Also consider doing rings around the planets; i've seen a bunch of images of planets, but i've almost never seen one with rings on it.
and good job doing this with Gimp... i can imagine it being a pain in the ass sometimes
i might think of that when making a new one =)

This makes me jealous, I'm thinking about graphic design as a career or something in that category. Seeing this I hope you are already being paid or something to create pictures or something. If not, thats not good. Someone with this much talent and isn't signed to someone makes me think that its going to be hard to be successful. For other viewers, click View Full Size!!! well actually i never received even a penny for any of my artwork ^^ its a hobby for me and as i will probably be a pilot my career wont have anything to do with art...
but i sure wish u good luck with graphic design its such fun stuff =)
