One Last Goodbye V.2

I really enjoyed this peice, there's something that makes me want to listen to is over and over again. It made me want to cry at some parts. I have to ask you not to change it, its amazing as it is. Adding more stuff might make it sound like you're trying too hard. If u happen to have the piano score to this and whouldn't mind sending it to me, that would be nice. Keep up the good work.

I actually have been writing the sheet music this week, someone else asked for it :)

So I'll PM you what I have so far! The first two pages, that is.

If anyone else wants it, PM me (or leave it in a review :) )

Very nice.

This is a very well written piece, something out of the realm of George Winston I'd say for sure. New Agey classical piano can be really beautiful. I would say NOT to add any other instruments. That'd take it out of the area of piano solo and would mean that you'd have to take it all the way to a fully aranged work to not make it just sound like some dude on his digital piano using the strings option. Might be a good idea in the future though to have a little bit of a more solid theme or melody. I love this style, but it often lacks that. Adding a really strong one would set it way apart and make a real jewel.

Thanks for the review Doc =]

I tried to make the melody clear in the beginning and the end (when the key changes, but the melody returns), but I can see how all the different sections might distract from the melody. I kind of meant for it to be a roller-coaster of a song, with lots of themes and melodies, so it was intentional. Thanks, I'll review you back :D

DJ_Dinero - One Last Goodbye V.2

First Impression; "Okay, A piano. Sounds R&B"
But you've certainly proven me wrong.
I think the pauses was a bit long, but that's really ok. I like how you play them (If that's not sequenced, that is)

But this has the diversity and variation of a real piano. Though it was a rather low quality recording/sample. This section later on gave me this feeling of "It's gonna be ok", but I disagree with the flute thing that SoulStrings came up with. This song need's a lower string support. Full String Ensemble to fill out void.
It doesn't have to be dominant.
Just giving a more wide and full musical picture.

The ending was pretty straight forward, but worked just fine.
Keep up the work my friend, and you will reach out to the Video Game industries.

Ps; Check out my two songs for more SoundTrack references. Review's apprieciated as you know ^^

snazzypadgett responds:

Thanks for the suggestions on how to fill in the "void" on the frequencies the piano doesn't cover! Yes, you're right, when I add strings, they don't have to be dominant, I can just use them very lightly to fill in those gaps. I am considering doing this, but I wouldnt submit it here. I might submit the orchestral version though (see 2 reviews down).

I'm glad the emotions I meant to give you worked out :) The sadness, the nostalgia, and the middle section's brighter side. It's a good feeling to make somebody feel happy or sad through music :)

I'll definitely check out your songs!

sims

im not a proper music critic, i loved this. Simple. It sounds a bit like the music in the sims. You should sell it to them.
