Reminds me of the original Rockman/Megaman games.
The difficulty and style. In fact it's almost exactly like the original Rockman games except with free control of your aim. Being so, I think it would make more sense if the wall jump was "jump" while you were sliding on the wall instead of press the opposite direction. Your current system has the problem where you would try to wall jump but end up steering away from the wall instead, which is minor in the beginning but a huge problem in later levels where the difficulty is considerably higher and perfect timed wall jumps necessary. I think the difficulty was too high starting around the middle, the levels were long and you had to start from scratch if you died, to the part of just being annoying.
