It's a trailer
For a stick animation, it looks decent, actually. Yeah.
But come on, it's a trailer. And seeing as you've made attempts and detailing the characters more, they might just as well not be sticks.

Well I have to say I was expecting alot more blamming since not only is it a stick animation but also a trailer lol. Two things most NG users hate. I can understand why you think it would work without sticks and I do agree with you, but I am truly crap at drawing and animating full body (have barely ever tried it) and also, even though you might find it hard to beleive, I love the look of stickfigures and their smooth motion. I think they make great serious characters aswell as comical ones. I feel that it is very hard to draw a good full body character that is believable as a serious character. thats just my opinion though.

I read your comments and voted according to the trailer. It gets a 5 and a 10 from me because as a trailer it's brilliant. I'm sure a lot of people did what I did after seeing it, and went to watch the full feature. Is this something you'll be making a series of? I think it'd work well as a series.
But awesome animation, great audio quality, just brilliant work all round.

Thanks a alot, your 5 and 10 is greatly appreciated. I havent decided if I am making a series for it but in time I might. I have just started a parody of the predator movies so once thats done I might consider a sequel. Ive already got a story in my head which I think would be awesome. Just saw your full feature. You, Sir, deserve 5 & 10. Some folks will bitch about it being sticks (just as some bitch about sprites). But, you've managed to capture the essence of the Thief games. Lots of avoidance. Very little confrontation. And the sheer joy of knowing you've pulled one over on some rich bastard without them knowing until the last moment. Thief was one of the few FPS games where folks actually looked forward to the jumping puzzles. One of the few games where you felt more awesome by avoiding encounters. And the pinnacle of perfection was to pull the job without anyone knowing you were ever there.
Your use of the remixed sfx and music was superb. You got just the right mix of wit, humour and grunge. The fact that he's pulling a gem heist just to pay the rent, and the on-going in-joke about him having to pay his rent late "because his landlord his tougher than (whatever current faction he's fighting at the moment)" ... this is just total win!
Bow to you, Sir! Bow to you! Maybe this will inspire some folks to go check out the old games. I hear a lot of folks talking about Thief 3, but you never truly appreciate the experience until you play through T1 & T2, also. Good job!

Brings back the memory
I used to play thief III as well, if I'm not wrong this is the first mission right? man I've heard Eidos is working on a sequence right now, hope it's gonna be released soon. BTW, I went to stick page and watched the full flash, truly amazing. The zombies and the tree hulk, man it's been a while.

Yeh I put a ton of effort into creating the feel of thief so it brings back the memorys. Its not the first mission though, its just a mission I and the guys at thief4.com dreamed up. Thank you for your 10 and im glad you enjoyed it.
