Game had a lot of promise
Production value on art and voice acting were spot on. No complaint there, but the rest of the game.... far from good. The concept was sound, but the execution fell like a drunk and it couldn't get back up from there.
Now, I didn't find the game too difficult. In fact, it was way too easy. I just stopped playing because, after maxing everything out, and making a couple million points, I just got bored with all the repetition involved. The mistake people make, who think it's hard, is that they try to have multiple barrels in the storage for Doug to decimate, when you only need one or two. Maxing out beer quality, and filling slightly below the mark, can make you go almost forever in the game.
Like a lot of people, I had a problem with Doug becoming too thirsty and too pain absorbing too quickly. Having to hit him a dozen times, while fun at first, just seemed you weren't getting anywhere with him fast. It didn't help any that your weapon seemed ineffective against him, no matter how upgraded it was. And his ability to drink an entire barrel of beer in half a second, and being powerless to do a thing about it, just made you question the point of defending aginst him if he could be there and be gone before you got there.
If you end up making a sequel to this be sure to offer more items and upgrades in it. This one felt it had the bare minimum. Offer increased beer efficiency, slowing the beer filling meter, or offering arcades and traps against Doug, stuff that could add more to the game in terms of fun and longevity.
Anyways, it's not a bad game, it just needs several improvements in the game-play.
