Reviews for "Air Pressure"

Beautiful

I found a few things while playing.

Some of you will tend to try and be nice to the girl while playing, since you obviously won't realize the meaning immediately. Those who do are perhaps afraid of change, or like happiness far too much, and are afraid that if they lose it, they'll never be happy again. This is probably why you wanted the girl to stay. This is probably why you ended up in the hospital ending, or the ending where she just sorta starting fizzing and fading but doesn't go away.

Those who felt they could relate to the character and feel the need to back away, you're not afraid of change. You're not afraid to start a big change. You explore, you go out and have as much fun as you can because you know that keeping the old habit will just get boring and perhaps dangerous to you.

Or, perhaps I'm wrong with both of this (which I probably am).

For the meaning of this game, it's suicidal tensions (as stated before). You might have been confused when you got the hospital ending (I was at first, too). But now replay the game with this in mind, and see how the girl relates to cutting and suicide, and NOT your girlfriend. Think of the girl as suicide this time. Think of her as whatever you want... Do you still end up with the hospital ending? Or, do you end up with the empty room?

Perhaps you should try and see what you get on the next try, which that in mind.

???

Why they hell was he in the hospital. Dumbest Question : Did she beat him up?

Probably the deepest game on the site.

This whole game made you think, from start to finish, about its "flaws" so to speak.

-As soon as the girl met him, she wrapped herself around his left arm.

This made me think "Huh. That was quick. As soon as she met him?"
Not to mention the "Left arm" when most girls would wrap around your dominant arm, which is your right, but seeing how not everyone is left handed I let that one slide.

-You end up in the hospital when you have your "special night"
Why did this occur? Whats with the speech on "What if you hit your artery" and such? What does that have to do with anything with a special night, even if it did go wrong? Another thing that boggled my mind was why wasn't she there with him? If we was in the hospital, for whatever reason, and if she loves him so much, and knows how dependent he is on her, why wouldn't she be there in the hospital with him.

-Shimmering Leigh
Uh..huh. Yeah that's not strange at all. Nope.
Not to mention during the ending following the path of "kicking her out of your life" you don't notice the shimmering. While in the normal endings you think of her as normal, but in the ending of losing her your character doesn't even care. As if he knew it would happen. How could he know that?

-Being completely refreshed from losing a girl who was actually kind of nice, and being afraid people would hate you for her.
If you got out of some kind of dominant relationship I could agree, but this girl didn't seem so bad. Why feel so refreshed? Why would people hate you for a nice girl? I'm lost.

-Her arguments in general
She makes it sound like she knows why people don't like him, and that makes no sense. Not to mention how she said "See how life without me is going to be. You'll be crawling back in a year, 2 tops." which made me so confused on how, and why, she would just take him back after a year of not seeing her. She makes it sound like she'd take him back in an instant as well, just like she did this time, and that just baffles me.

I'll admit, while I was completely confused, I didn't find out what she was exactly until I read aSHYian's post on the matter. Figuring that she was really a drug made me realize just how deep this game is, and how well put together it is. This game is probably one of the most well put together flash games I've seen in a long time. Not to mention it's so simple it's perfect. I'd give more then 10 stars if I could.

Innocent

I feel so strange after this. I played this three times for the three endings before reading the reviews, and I must say I didn't even consider the hidden methaphor of the game.

At some point I did think this she was actually a vg character in the game world. Maybe that's because that's my addiction? Not sure, but don't know if I want that addiction to go away. I guess I'm the coward archetype :-)

I do think it's meant to be drugs, but really it's subjective. A beautiful game.

Idiot

I feel like an idiot only after the 3rd time playing this game I realized she was a symbol for the man's drug addiction I guess using a nice looking female distracts you from what it actually is, it seems as though the drug being a woman it makes it even better as a symbol as it shows how drugs are compatible with whoever you are and to really break free you need to cut it out of your life
