I like how the game looks, the only things I think you should do are:
1. Make new things to shoot,
2. Put Joe and Baxter in it,
3. Actually finish this one, though you doubtedly will,
and 4. put some things that have to do with the series..
Do these and it will be a very good game, in my opinion..

It's not that good but I understand since it's old. You'll probably never finish this game anyways.
Fix the green guy thing.
Change the look of the gun.
Nothing else really. Do this and you'll have a mildly entertaining game
