Sigh

Ya know...games like this really annoy me.
There is no choice, nothing you do really affects the outcomes.
The alien doesn't grow anymore. It doesn't protect itself any better than it protects the family, in the end.
Yes, slightly varied endings. How imaginative. Now if only sarcasm could be TYPED.
I'm giving it a 4 star rating for the idea...if only...ah well...if only.
Here's what I finish this review with.

If you are going to leave little, if no choice at all, why make a GAME in the first place? Make it a flash movie and be done with it. Period. Utter waste of time giving the illusion of choice in the first place.

Heartbreaking...

I really almost cried.The music and the animation were amazing and the message was so simple yet it means so much for the whole human race.In my first play I managed to protect all the family members.In my second one I played by mouse and it was a bit harder.
The first ones who died were the parents.The tow children crying over their parents bodies made me feel sad.Then the big brother died...and then......my alien died....the little girl's only defense was dead....it made my heart break........

very interesting

It's interesting. I noticed that if different combinations of people die in a certain order, you get a slightly different ending.

My first time through, i protected all the people, and when i died, they cried for me, but then left me behind.

My second time through, i let all the people die. the last person to go was the mother. however, when the last child died, the mother would not advance with me any more, so i had to leave her behind.

My third time through, i wanted to try and protect the people, but get hit the least, myself. however, the blast radius on the bombs surprised me, and i wound up killing all but the little girl. when i eventually died, the little girl sat with my body and did not move on. I found this ending to be the saddest of all.

IT is good

Really good. In fact its message is what makes it good. Even if an alien being arrives on our planet, that "scary" and OMNOM IT CAN KILL US ALL alien, it cannot survive our acts. I do not give it a ten though because it is extremely melodramtic, you could just make the alien protect the family and then get sort of ambushed and captured. Anyway, good submission.

In fact i really liked it. Good explanation by figures. So sad to see everything die. I bet the message is both deep and still pretty simple. Hope we all can see more of this one day.
