Cool episode
I agree with every thing that everybody has said, but I just love this series and I loved this episode, I love it when Link and Mario fight each other.

Animate it
I like what you tried to do but you really should put more effort into it and animate it. There are plenty of places to find full sprite sheets and apparently you already discovered some appropriate sound files.
What you have here is a good rough-sketch. Now it's time to flesh it out!

A comic book slideshow?
You've provided no animation in this animation. No drawn work either. At least in sprite movies the animator makes them do something. To tell the truth, you're making the viewer imagine what's going on through these pictures. When I see a fight scene, I want to watch it happen. Not have it "implied".
