Nice bug loop of endless nightmare...
After multiple waves of just another tower defense game broken only by AliensTM advertising from the early 80s, you get the joys of a 'modern' control room run by someone in medieval armour. I suppose the dream rationale can work to cover all plot holes. All we need is an amazing addition like "In sleep, nobody can hear you scream" to get maximum cheese factor.
Having to reload the game once to be able to change weapons from nitrogen back to the basic, I persisted with the game. Now I have every upgrade including about 20 angle improvements for the 'uber' VX gun that struggles to fire under processor load (the only time you need it)... enough angle improvements to supposedly go near full circle.
Now the game is in a broken constant loop. The monotonous dream sequence that shows nothing new now comes with waves of leftover spacecraft flying through it. This prevents you being able to enter the control room as it triggers another 'attempt' at the nightmare wave, sans how many lives lost from the initial ships.
Trying to shoot your way out of the loop fails, as your weapon struggles to fire from processor load. The incoming waves aren't affected by these problems. So there is no point in upgrading firing speed past the first unit as later in the game you are unable to use it.
This trouble is further exacerbated through ships becoming invincible. Waves of ships that turrets ignore and your shots fire through, but still register as a fail when they reach the right hand side. Wave 32 for ever!
Ironically I'd persisted with the game thinking it was an old flop from 2002, looking at Scott Productions' name, for the novelty of more NG medals. Iron Will upgrade and space spam (keypresses struggle to register) didn't unlock the 'happy ending'. Considering what a 'happy ending' is, and this being supposedly a dream sequence... I think I'll forgo the sticky underwear.

First off I gotta say this game is awsome and it will keep some people hooked for a while but I do have to report one bug and one suggestion.
Bug) I Failed the ending because I didn't take it seriously and I got to lvl 30 everything is upgraded at this point I beat the mission and im in the room but the enemys keep coming, im in the room and it says I failed the nightmare and it starts me back at the start of wave 30
Suggestion)At the end I think once they get to wave 30 you should give the person another chance on escaping the Narcolyxii.
Other than that it is a great game and good luck in the future
BUG
Hey I still can't play it, I can't go further than nightmare 4 because no matter how many times I start up a new game I can't choose my laser cannon or any other upgrade.

the story was HOT but the part that pissed me off was the to be continue part soooooooo there has to be a second part!!!!!
