Well Dom, It's great to see you uploading something new. Spider-Powers 1 is still an all time top fave and I hold out hope on you delivering more musical stuff, I'm a real faggot for musicals and you have fantastic musical talent which I'd hate to see go unused.

As for this, whilst I didn't find it particularly funny or original (hence why it reminded me of my own work, yuk yuk) it certainly wasn't horrible and the jingle was cute.

Stick with it and have fun!

Wow, wasn't really aware you were among my fans. Or did I just forget that we've talked before? Well, hey, if you're lookin' for musical stuff, I just put out a Christmas short called Deck'd on my YouTube channel, which begins with a big musical number. Just run a search for it! As for this reminding you of yourself, I'm sure I have some sort of subconscious influence from you. I love your work.

The animation was nice and some of the punchlines were pretty funny. I just have to say that this is one of the most random premises I have ever heard. Why is this character a genie? It would have worked just as well if he was a regular guy or a talking aadvark or hot dog or whatever. I guess that was part of the joke, that the supernatural element was so pointless, so I am sorry if I did not get it. I would suggest you put in some more punchlines and some more interesting conversation.

I think it would be funnier if you came out with, say, one short, ten-second cartoon every day or so, each with only one joke, just like the one that showed up in TLC (that is, this one should have ended right after the first chuckle). It just works better that way.

I can't really review a short like this, but why not try?

First off the bat- you really should try to add some more style to your art work. I know you're not trying to be Picasso, but a little more effort drawingwise would be appreciated.

Also, your song at the beginning? You're singing too nasally. You can sing better than that. I've seen it before.

Anyways, I'm glad the animation was pretty good. And the writing was okay.
Experiment with your creation. Make a few more, and see what you can do with this shop-class loving genie.

Also, why did I just put way too much thought in nit-picking an animated short on Newgrounds? I don't know. I probably need a new hobby.
