Reviews for "Names"

Loved the music.

Loved the music. You have to tell me what samples you are using for the drums. They sound really good. I'm not to sure about the talking in there but it's still good. Nice build up to the heavy guitars. I wasn't expecting that at all. All & all a good track really creative.

Love-Hate-War responds:

It's called drumkit from hell. Its published by toontracks, they're indivudually sampled with ALOT of velocity layers. I've only got dfh 1, but they have alot newer collections that sound hella better, but i cant afford them :( Thanks for the review! I know, but i had to have the talking cause it was in the specification for the coursework, the track was originally instrumental

oh yeah.

This was really cool. Awesome infact. I thought the talking fit in really well. The static or degredation of the voice was a nice touch. Really had a good impact. The transition from piano, to guitar was really smooth and damn, well played! Really cool man.
Really liked the way it ended too.

Thanks for your vote, Bad_Man_Incorporated! You voted 5 for Names, raising its score from 3.80 to 4.00.

Love-Hate-War responds:

Haha, i just added some distortion on the vocals to hide the crappiness of our lame english voices. Im glad you liked it, i thought of the piano parts ages ago and just dug it up for this piece of coursework i needed to do. The guitars were an afterthought, cause ya know...every song needs guitars, lol. Thanks for reviewing loads of my stuff man, i'll pay back the favour!

names

very good song with a good piano piece.
ultra (yeah i said ultra) good lyrics!

Love-Hate-War responds:

Haha thanks man, its based on a poem called 'Names' by Brian Moses. Thanks for the 10!

Great feel

I loved the feel of this piece, the drums complimented the piano very well, the really accented the sorrowful mood of the piece.

Unfortunately, the piano wasn't at a very high quality compared to everything else, but it still was well written and didn't detract much from the overall piece. The guitar was a nice addition, although the voices behind it were very difficult to understand.

All in all, excellent work!

5/5

Love-Hate-War responds:

Heh, thanks. That's such a compliment from such a great artist as yourself :D
