the only actual motion in this game is done by imobile objects, the things that damage you dont do anything but go up and down, the player is nothing more than a pasted picture that has no individual moving parts and the game just felt altogether thrown together in minutes

Tons of improvements...But it you know that since it's your first game. The graphics could use some (more like a lot) of help...Maybe some music, figure out a way to animate your character so he can do some moves. For instance, how do I kill the bad guys? The backgrounds suck too...More sound effects...
But I give you a 1 for effort...Hopefully next time I can give you a higher score.

ok this game is terrible, when you compare it against an average flash game, but, you know, it works... and mostly without glitches. So you can make a game, now make a FUN game. One original idea is alll you need.
bugs need to be fixed
like the fact that if you fall you loose 2 lives...
