About your frustration...
Reading the last paragraph of your description, I had to go through the reviews to understand what made you feel so disapointed. Even though I have to say I understand your point of view, having tried to make a game and therefore undestanding the difficulty of the process, I also believe you do the reviewers no justice. Sure, most of them have this angry, know-it-all style, but you surely know that this is the internet and thus how the majority works - thus to be expected.
However, some comments, hateful or not, have some point. I am not to judge whether or not you were inspired by "Company of Myself", but the similarity is indeed noticeable. This is not in itself a minus, but in art generally it is important to differ, to create something that goes beyond what has been done; and I am not quite sure your work here reaches that level.
Then, the control issues are indeed enough to annoy the gamer, along with the underexplained replication process. Some return after a while, some don't. You might be correct to be annoyed by those that after one try quit and write a bad review, but you, as the creator, could have avoided that.
You need to remember, though, that reviewing a game does not have as a prerequisite that I know how to make a better one. Therefore, you need to listen to the reviewers (even though most of us indeed are annoying) not because you respect them (or they respect you, for that matter) but because it will make YOU better in the future.
See this as a challenge, to make your next game better, instead of being disappointed to the point of stop the creative process.
Your game is worth. It does create an atmosphere while one plays. The music, as mentioned by the others, is amazing (I am currently listening to it now) and the graphics are decent for their purpose. I hope we see more of your work soon.
