Reviews for "Little Thing"

About your frustration...

Reading the last paragraph of your description, I had to go through the reviews to understand what made you feel so disapointed. Even though I have to say I understand your point of view, having tried to make a game and therefore undestanding the difficulty of the process, I also believe you do the reviewers no justice. Sure, most of them have this angry, know-it-all style, but you surely know that this is the internet and thus how the majority works - thus to be expected.

However, some comments, hateful or not, have some point. I am not to judge whether or not you were inspired by "Company of Myself", but the similarity is indeed noticeable. This is not in itself a minus, but in art generally it is important to differ, to create something that goes beyond what has been done; and I am not quite sure your work here reaches that level.

Then, the control issues are indeed enough to annoy the gamer, along with the underexplained replication process. Some return after a while, some don't. You might be correct to be annoyed by those that after one try quit and write a bad review, but you, as the creator, could have avoided that.

You need to remember, though, that reviewing a game does not have as a prerequisite that I know how to make a better one. Therefore, you need to listen to the reviewers (even though most of us indeed are annoying) not because you respect them (or they respect you, for that matter) but because it will make YOU better in the future.

See this as a challenge, to make your next game better, instead of being disappointed to the point of stop the creative process.

Your game is worth. It does create an atmosphere while one plays. The music, as mentioned by the others, is amazing (I am currently listening to it now) and the graphics are decent for their purpose. I hope we see more of your work soon.

hmm

You sound more emo than even your own game. You should already know the consequences of blatant cloning, there always people that compare, and the fans might or might not flame you. It would be less painful if you put 'inspired by'. And you got 2nd daily, that shows most people still like the game :) .

oh well, about the game... I love the game's music. Gameplay is a bit odd since the copy move by itself. There is some bugs too. On level 3 my real character fall while the clone still walking to exit, then I happen to find myself on next stage. On level 4, after making a clone to climb the second platform, I found myself unable to move. You also need to put an auto save or level select, no one likes restarting.

Good game :)

A few glitches, not very colourful, but all around a good game. 7/10 4/5

Not bad.

It's a good game, taking the fact that you did it all by yourself, including the music.

But, no offense... this is really similar to "Company of myself", the story (kinda), and the gameplay...but shorter in style, and designs, and it's kinda buggy and glitchy :(

It's a preety nice job, though... i know you can do better, so don't get dissapointed and keep up the good work.

^^

Only three problems I can see.

One, try not to make the borders of the character a square when you draw him as a circle. Or draw a different shaped character. Also, you seem to jump to a different side when you hit the edges of things or you jump off the corner of your copy. Third, sometimes when you bump onto our copy, you cannot continue moving in that direction and so have to restart the level.
