Reviews for "Punk-o-matic 2"

good

awesome graphics and good music. I would love this game if I could make even better custom solos. I mean note-to-note solos. it's kinda slow but I would like that.

This game really needs a serious review..

This really is an outstanding piece of work. You have outdone what most Music Making Programs cannot do without spending money. And that is: making rock/metal/punk songs. You have given those who cannot play real instruments an opportunity of what it feels like on composing and playing rock/metal/punk music.
Although this is an amazing flash game.. Actually.. I don't even consider this a game. I kinda consider this as a Rock Version of FlStudio [Oh Lawdy]. Anyways... Although this is an amazing flash game, there are still some setbacks.
Before I go into that 'setbacks' thing, lemme start off with the pros.

- Like I said earlier, It gives you the options on how to compose your own punk/rock/metal music. Which is very rare to find on either the internet or in real life without spending jigamoubertous amounts of cash.
- It Gives you a sense of what it would look like if you were playing in a rock band.
- It gives you a wide variety of styles to choose from. [am not talkin bout the outfits or your bandmembers, am talkin bout the way on how you want your music to be played] [But the dressup counts too i guess..]
- Story mode makes you want to MAEK MOAR!! music.
- Quality of your own work is fantastic!
if only it had some 'export to mp3' function.

Sadly.. Although this games is liek, uberniceawesomegamebadassthisistheshi tepiccongraturationsawinrarisyou [my fingers hurt now] amazingfantasticchucknorris-ishsuperp owerpowerkindasmokinhawt.. uhh.. err... yaknow what I mean. It still has some setbacks. I don't make flash games so I dont think I have the right to criticize this but.. meh.. OH PLEASE DONT HIT ME!!

- Where is the 'export to mp3' function?
- the music doesn't sync very well if you dont have a superubermegahyperforcemk23100vc computer. The Drummer gets delayed sometimes, the rhythm guitar is going way too fast, I can't hear the bassist and the lead is like, WTF are we playing? But this only happens ONLY when you have the settings on high and you have tons of programs working in the background or maybe you just need to replace your computer.
- hmm... whatelse..
- Where is the 'export to mp3' function? Did I just say that? Oh. nvm.
- The controls on how you make your music sometimes make me wanna quit the game forevah. It's very complicated if your not too familiar with guitar hero or sumthin.. I dunno.. I haven't played guitar hero before.

And.. uhh.. yeah.. I think that's about it. I think..

Main Awesomeness of this game:
FUCK YEAH!!! I CAN MAKE METAL/PUNK/ROCK/WHATEVERGENREYOUWISHE XCEPTMELODICMETALORORCHESTRAMETALORMA YBESYMPHONICMETALCOZTHEYHAVELIKESTRIN GINSTRUMENTSANDSUCH MUSIC!!!

Major Setback for this game:

It gets unsychronized sometimes and Where is the 'export to mp3' function?

But what really balances this game is that:
You can make music like no other music making programs can do.

I give it 8/10

P.S.

Am looking forward for another punk-o-matic game with export to mp3 function ^_^

very choppy and needs more notes or whatever

This is a great game, but the songs i keep making are too choppy for me to want to post. It also needs more tunes to the insturments and more notes or chords or whatever you call it. If there is anyway to fix the "choppines" in the game plz send me an E-mail how.i am giving this game an 8.

Yes yes yes.

You have done what many newgrounders here cannot achieve throughout their games: you have created a game that could surpass many videogames on the PS3, X-Box, and definitely Wii (well...there's an exception on Brawl, I guess). The game itself is a fucking awesome concept. It helps fellow NGers and many other people create their own songs without having the buy a program to make it (of course, this is sort of limited, so don't press your luck if you're reading my review).

Well, yes, this is a very great game, but I'm still having trouble with how much effort could've been put into the artwork although it is at random. I know that the artwork isn't much of a matter here considering it's a music-making game, after all. But it is sort of....crucial, I guess in a good game, no matter what the entire idea of the game should be. So, you just lost one star on that, and that isn't much of a difference there.

I liked how you could actually print out the music that people make and let them see if they can actually play the music. Half of the songs I made I can't even play on drums or bass. Haha, I guess that just goes to show that I need to practice a lot more if I really want to do this.

Well, to be perfectly honest with you (and I know all you people out there who are READING this review besides the creator will most likely rate it useless), I just wish there was more options besides what you gave out. Like, you get to choose what instruments go into that band of 4, and I don't really have any complaint over how much musical quality you put into this.

I'm really glad that there's game like this out there. It'll help most of us musicians and just many other people who need a hobby. Thanks for bring this lovely piece of work to us!

Overall: 8/10, 4/5.

Couldd of made easier

The createing and playing song are hard
