This was the most fulfilling game I have ever played. Fulfilling as in I didn't ask why I was wasting the already worthless moments of my miserable existence on some pointless game that I would forget as soon as I completed. It didn't really make me think because I agreed with you before playing this, but people just love to have their own opinions read back to them.
Bit on the short side. The princess really does loop forever, or at least up to about 200, and I don't think the cheat works, although if you start over, her text is severely truncated.
Obligatory insult: if you can't bother to read the length of a children's book, you're retarded. I don't need to worry about any people or groups of people being offended by this because they will not get far enough down my review to actually see this. Because they are retarded.

It's not meant to be a tough game, it's supposed to mimic older games.
And I didn't actually think anybody would get any of the philosophical things I threw in there.

Pretty funny
I liked the references to ET, and the dialogue with the princess (though, despite her describing it, I couldn't find the secret). I also liked the trees coming to life. It was pretty unexpected, and funny too.
Things that need work though are the final boss (I couldn't get to the axe =( ) and that trees are apparently able to walk behind signs (likely a bug, since they walk between it's legs and it's body).

It's a hard boss fight, time yourself perfectly, get to the edge of him, right before you hit him, and stop until he RISES, then RUN.
