Date for One

Very nice I loved it. Although I'm a little confused about the genre at first it seemed like it was a comedy but steadily throughout I began to feel for the guy more and more as he realizes hes alone. Or does he really not know that hes on a date by himself? Anyway the story line is simple and effective at conjuring up warm fuzzys at the end although I was expecting a sick and twisted joke... Oh well * sigh

Animation is very smooth and I like how you fuzzed out the backround just something interesting about it. Whatever it is, it makes it look professional and gives the flash depth.

As for audio, good idea on not having them speak you let the animation and the music tell the story and that tends to work out because its really difficult to write a decent script on top of having voice actors who dont sound overrehearsed and annoying. These things can just kill you flash by themselves so kudos nice choice. One thing that bothered me was the music that came in at the ending it was a bit loud and at first I didnt realize that is was music at all it just sounded like someone beating something perhaps something a little more subtle yes it worked, it was uplifting and contributed to the happy ending but could have been executed a little better with music that was perhaps softer.

Seriously, it should've ended...

...exactly as you ended it, with a fade to black. Then a half-second shot of him eating her flesh. And that's why you don't go out with someone who pretends that they are making love with an invisible date.

But in all seriousness, it was really good. Well animated, with decent, readable characters. The only slight issue I noticed was a bit of feet sliding on the ground during the walk cycle. But other than that, really great.
