I think what makes this game so satisfying is the checkpoints. Where most games of this type would have gamesaves in lieu of cp's, or randomly placed cp's, you have strategically placed the checkpoints to not only assist in the gameplay, but provide a challenge as well, merely based on their placement or existence within the levels. You have addressed the most common frustration of games such as these, which cause the player to stop playing due to difficulty and repetition. While you still have repetition, it is limited to one small section of a level, not requiring the player to play over an entire level, or other large portion of one. Kudos!
