Awesome, your mixing is getting really good! you definitely achieved the ice theme well this song has a very atmospheric feeling to it. I haven't listened to any music from the portal in a long time (trying to change that) but I remember the last time I came across one of your songs I thought it was great but it was missing a little mixing. You've made so much progress with sound clarity AND your song is catchy, an awesome combination. Good job dude.

Yeah I like to think I've been making improvements in the mixing department over the years. I've also found out how useful compressors are JUST RECENTLY, and I've been making music for nearly 5 years haha. I'm glad you think that my songs have improved clarity-wise though! However, I think I'm a bit better at mixing orchestral since that's what I make most of the time, along with the fact that it's a lot easier to mix than electronic songs.

Niice. Groovy tune fo sho. The pianos and verby synth capture the ice theme well. Liked when it went halftime as well :). The snare hits sounded a tiny bit off but could just be me.

That half-time part was something I wanted to do for quite a while. It's a good way to vary things up, and leaves the part where it goes back to normal time more anticipated.
I've now gotten used to hearing the snare like that in this track so it doesn't sound too bad for me right now but I've always been terrible at snares so you could be right haha.

awesome! however, i kinda want a the full version with a fade-out ending so i could do a GD level called Full Polargeist and have the end sound right. is it possible you could upload a version like that?

You can make a fade out ending in GD's level editor! It's somewhere in the settings as far as I can remember.

So this is the song that got you famous? I can see why. This is an amazing loop track which actually loops and not just stops suddenly. All those geometry dashers would luv this version put in a lvl.
