Very nice
This embodies the feeling of emptiness gained during the holiday seasons when your in the point in your life where you've lost your childhood and are out on your own. You don't really have a Christmas list because there's nothing that you realistically want. I totally get it - nice work!

yes, but one thing...
you deserved a 10, but the ending was a bit rushed. you def captured how people just dont feel the same in these times. it's one of the most universal opinions out there in the USA. however, the part with the kids in the background and one choking the other, then out of no where, she plays music, but kids are still pretty much in same position... what was use of that? overall, i def gave this 5 and def favorited it.

that part was actually a personal thing that happened to me. just before christmas me and some friends went wandering in the streets with a pignose amplifier and just played some booming christmas choons in public to cheer people up and i think it worked... or maybe people just thought we were mental. just a weird little thing like that made a busful of people smile.
Interesting symbolism
The idea of Christmas during a recession was one that was certainly difficult for many to come to terms with over the past few months. Hopefully it will not be a sight we witness again for a very long time.
The animation and the tune created a very powerful ambience and as a result, you feel that you are connected to the protagonist (you?) in the piece. I remember the wonder that filled me on Christmas morning as a child and now it seems so far away, but there is still hope. Despite the woes and all of the goings on with my family, there was still enough of a chance to sit back and appreciate what I still had, which was most of my family around me at a time when we should be thankful for what we have, as opposed to pining for what we have not.
A very good use for the new tablet - congratulations on winning one, I hope to see many more successful animations from you and your new equipment.

Could use work
But it all flowed together amazing. The animation isn't the best in the world, but that's okay, because the story is still there. You conveyed it without using words, which is great.
The only thing I think needs improvement is the animation. When she's walking down the street, her legs move too fast for the speed she's moving and it looks awkward. That's just one of those little things that bothered me.
Overall, Great job. 8 of 10.

Thanks for your review. Yes. I know. the legs are AWFUL, i think i've only ever done one vaguely sort of kind of alright walk cycle in my life so far and i haven't uploaded it to newgrounds yet. I'm working on it, i promise.
