Fun

Was really good, the enemies looked pretty good, i just think the main char a little too much pixel and too little design, i just think he could have looked more "memorable"

I only beat easy mode but i found that the dash is kinda glitchy since if the platform is low enough but too hi to jump, u can jump and dash and u will get up.

The bazooka was useful so u don't have to hear the shooting sound non-stop but it was a bit overpowered (one shot kill most), since u dont fight a million enemies at once, plus its really strong since u get in it hard mode and it's way more useful then the basic pistol.

But if you get bored and feel like killing yourself (well stuck), in level one where you get the hp upgrade in the wall before the boss. When you go to get the hp upgrade, dash to get it and you can get stuck above it, you can simply dash to the right to get out, but if you keep dashing to the left you will fall under the map, and you can't get back up, only move to right and left.

But in short, good game, good music, i like it (add double jump tho, not for any real reason, just double jump is fun)

Muhahahha,

Spoiler again - do not read if you don't like spoilage:
First upgrade on level 1 hard is double jump.

I agree double jump is fun.

Wats with the crappy graphix

overdid pixelated graphics but other than that a mediocre game nothin' new or cool

bitpimp responds:

Well, I am sorry this wasn't your bag o fun brother! Maybe our next game will tickle what ever it is that you consider your fancy.

Epic Win!

I only wish there were more levels :]

bitpimp responds:

We planned for 5 originally, but had to consolidate a lot of our ideas after we hit a little bit of a time crunch. We were developing and learning some new tools to the level editing process.

Now that we have a solid process, future games should have some longer & snazzierole levels!

Fantastic work! I've always had a soft spot for pixel games, and this one had some really great game play! The controls were simple and fun to work with, and the enemies gave a lot of variety to the game. I never felt like I was doing the same actions repeatedly, which made the game fun all the way through! The upgrades were a really nice touch, especially since some of them were somewhat hidden. The levels were huge enough to explore without seeming like the character was completely lost.

The bonus upgrades were a fantastic idea. It gives the player a reward for finding treasure and killing enemies, and they were all very useful. Plus it gives you a good reason to replay in hard mode!

The graphics were beautiful. They provided just enough detail to give the player and idea of what the blocks were, without getting too repetitive or dull. And the map layouts were great. It takes a lot of work to make the map provide plenty of visual entertainment, with little details like backgrounds and block placements. Great!

The bosses were fantastic too! The first one gave some leeway being the first boss, which is a good thing. The second boss, however, seemed far too easy. It was simple to move just a bit over and shoot constantly. Mayhaps give him an attack where he moves horizontally over the entire ground, giving the player a reason to use those tractor beams (unless of course, he does have such a move. I beat him pretty quickly, so I don't know...). The last boss was intense! It took me a few tries to beat him, but it was challenging instead of frustrating. The second part of the boss blew me away! I was not expecting it, and that was certainly a challenge! Felt good to beat it.

Music was lovely and never got dull. Went perfectly with the setting, and the pixel style.

So, yeah... a near perfect game for me. Definitely glad I checked it out.

Murk, glad to hear that this game gave you good feelings! Hoping that SOMEONE is going to enjoy the game I am working on is what gets me through the really tedious aspects of a dev cycle, so thanks a ton.

Really nice!

I really liked this game, it's very challenging and really balanced. The graphics are wonderfull, i love the pixelalted art, and the controls and gameplay was bugfree and really easy to use.
The powerups helped alot, but they didn't kill the challenge, which i really liked about the game, but maybe you should make a difficulty selecter, cus i found myself stuck, trying to get the second red-block. Also, eventhough it's okay that it's hard and challenging, don't make instakills when getting stuck between 2 fireballs.

Generally a really really good game, and with a few minor tweaks, it could score many prizes. 9/10 and 4/5. Great job.

bitpimp responds:

I'll keep the advice about insta-kills in mind for future projects! Thanks for battling through it all!
