Reviews for "Micro Dungeon"

Why couldnt atari make something like this?

Without the hunger clock it seems like the player is merely wandering about the dungeon -- not that that's a bad thing, but personally I find battle against starvation as one of the key elements of roguelikes that pushes the plot the player creates along.

Simple yet fun

For such a simple game, this was a lot of fin and I find myself coming back to it again and again. Added to my fave list.

Hmm...pretty good

Well, for a 33 KB game, this is quite simply awesome. You haven't wasted your dataspace on useless graphics, but kept it conservative in a way that leaves no place for error. Instead, the focus is on a massive dungeon with several different items and enemies, and a path-choosing level system. I think this is good, since a lot of us (or at least me) don't play non-story RPGs such as this for their art or music.

So I'd say the gameplay overall is good, but the problem is...the game is lacking. It seems that all the monsters are just higher-level versions of each other, i.e. there is no discernible difference between each one. Not to mention the strange fact that some of the low-level treasure items can be found in the high-level dungeons. Lastly, I don't feel anything even after completing the game and finding the treasure. And yeah, we don't all dye our hair blue.

Cool, but missing something.

Its not very hard at frist, all you have too do is slam "attack" a few times and you win with barely any damage. the screen size could be a bit bigger too, but keep it in a bit-sized range. Also sligth avatar creation would be nice, not all of us want to be blue-haired chicks.
