Reviews for "Perpetual Blaze"

I can see why it tanked on Kongregate.

It has potential, don't get me wrong on that. However, I can see why it didn't do so well.

The elastic control of the orb is interesting, but I think it would work better if you used the mouse as opposed to WASD control. It would definitely make gameplay easier.

I was a little confused about the health bar. Does it only deplete if you run out of energy? If so, I would fix that so you take damage each time you get hit by a laser.

Other than that, its a pretty decent game.

neat little game

Def. not bad, I thought everything seemed pretty well thought out, the level size was ok, enemies had the right degree of challenge to them, though I've got a small problem.

Control- It's not particularly bad- there are other games that use the same 'elastic rope' kind of mouse tracking, but it gets aggravating very quickly- especially when you're trying to collect the little energy orbs. That and trying to hit some of the later enemies is pretty much entirely luck. I don't think it's really game-breakingly bad, but It's not exactly the best either.

other than that? Pretty bloody good, right amount of challenge, IMO, Music was pretty good, graphics were on par.

nice

i realy liked the game i don't know why some people rate this so low

Game wouldn't start

When I pressed the logo for this game all I got was a white screen, so I can't do a good review till that problem is fixed.

The people below don't know what their saying.

I'd give you a 10 simply to prove the people below wrong.

I played this game for an hour straight. At first I thought WTF?! Than after I figured a few things out it became much much better. I plan to play this again and again.

In response to the below and future reviewers...
NO it does not need....levelling progress, bigger enemies, less enemies, energy that lasts longer.
Wish I could write a review for every review down below to point out a few things. >:(
You can play this game for 10 minutes straight if you know how.

Now my review.

Graphics: 7 It's not amazing or anything but it's good enough. Very simple and stright forward.

Music: 6.5 appropriate but nothing more. I agree with one repsonse below that stated it would be nice to be able to turn it off.

Gameplay: Here is where the game shines.
Its simple, keep your energy up. I kept playing so I could try to beat the world score. So a few things....

1-----The time slow effect helps a TON!!! not just on avoiding enemy fire but in killing multiple enemies. Controls are much easier when you slow down time.

2-------Controls are awkward at first....but one you get used to them its very easy.

3-------This is for all the people reading this...beware the blue round enemy and only attack it when it isn't bright blue. That sucker drains your energy...so you need to slow down time, kill all the others and time when you will kill the round blue one.
Other enemies require various methods to kill.

Once you figure the time slowdown effect and the Round blue enemies power and how to beat it, thngs change a lot.

Im giving you a 10 on game play.

score of 7.8 rounded up to 8.
