By the way, silent screamer, you're right in thinking that Christmass on 25 dec is a cover-up, but not for a druid festival. It is a common mistake, so don't worry. It is a cover-up for something christian, wich accidentally just happened to be on that date as well: the creation of the world (you know first chapters. That thing that ended with the appel) Christians thought that the date would be nice because days become longer from that date on. First christians played a kind of ritual theater. Naked because Adam and Eve were naked. They used dried appels in connifers, because of course they were no real appeltrees with fruits in winter. Later they became more prudish and thought it was inappropiate for children. Depriving people from a party was apparantly too rude. So they wanted to replace it. They used christmass. That's why in our trees there are balls (appels). The lights are from other religions.
