Played this in one sitting.
With Hands of War I would often play, save, do something else, and come back, but this one was compelling enough for me to sit and play in one sitting despite knowing I should probably be reading for class. XD
One difference I noticed between this and Hands of War is this actually requires some strategy as opposed to just leveling up, getting better weapons or armor, or using brute force. Of course, what works for me may not work for everyone, but everyone has their own play style.
I appreciate being able to play as a female. Maybe that's because I am one, but I do notice a lack of female characters in some games other than succubi. Whenever I've done gaming in the past, I picture females as healers and mages. Female characters can also have the same strengths and abilities in this game as males do, which is very nice to see and attractive to female gamers in general.
The mechanics haven't changed too much, but that's fine. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The graphics work well and are in the style normally associated with RPGs. One improvement is the music. I really like it.
One bug I did notice is that the lower four squares of the map keep going back to black whenever I reopen the save file instead of staying highlighted.
