Reviews for "The Swords"

Great presentation, dull gameplay

The graphics and audio were great, the animations were smooth and the sprites were very well made. No bugs or glitches to be seen, and I didn't experience any lag. It plays great, runs smooth, and it looks good. I especially liked the visual designs for the bosses.

The gameplay is very repetative and boring, though, even with the upgradable equipment and abilities system. There's really no strategy necessary, just spam your special attacks until you run out of mp, then button mash through the remaining enemies. There really isn't much of a point playing past the training level, since I thought all the fun to be had in this was seen in the first five minutes. After that, it's the same thing over and over, with the new upgrades adding little to gameplay.

Try adding a more detailed combo system with the base attacks, and make the specials a little more flashy. Speed up the characters' movements a little bit more, add in a few more varieties of monsters, and this could be a really fun game.

Its not bad

Its quite short. I can imagine at least 4 medals you can put. I liked it though. One thing I didnt like is that when a boss is attacking, he is unvulnerable, when the opposite should happen...

Feel a lot like...

...Dragonica.

The style of the characters and enemies made it feel like i played it before, oh that's right, Dragonica. And as people said under me, the damage numbers are from Maplestory, just want to say that again. This game could be a lot better if it was a bit faster, but overall it's a god game.

I thought it was great!

I am not sure what everyone is complaining about, I thought this was a fantastic game! The controls are a little iffy, but easy enough to deal with. All those folks complaining about running to slow should try double tapping the directional buttons to actually run. The Hippo boss is easy enough once you start utilizing defensive strategy. I love the work you've put into this game, the art is really well done, and the music is great. A very enjoyable game.

Needs more

It was really good... for like a prequel, now say there come the next one. Where you get like more allys, higher levels, more weapons, more skills, and better dialogue. Then it would be freakin amazing. Just add more and this definately has the potential to be amazing. And p.s. make your own damage counters please :)
