Dumb?

I don't know why you would think this was dumb, as it was done really well! While it may not have had much of a story, the artwork was some of the best of that type I'd seen! I guess I was looking for something a bit more complicated with more guys around, you know? It may in fact be the first stop-motion animation I've seen that used charcoal before. The music was very nice and fitting as well. It was really cool to see everything flow together especially when it is presented on old contruction paper.

Yeah the art was very simple and not really challenging, but that was the reason why i stuck to basically stick figures and squiggles. This was the first big animation project that I decided to tackle so I kept it easy to draw so I can really get a feel for it.

you're probably right about the ending, but the rest was pretty good. the music certainly helped. its still playing on my speakers at the moment.

Nice experiement... original

This was a really great charcoal animation, even though this is the only one I've ever seen. I like the story, and even the little charcoal monster thingy, really creative.
You clearly put a lot of hard work into this and i commend you greatly for it. Animation needs people to put that kind of hard work and time into their creations.

The only thing that would have made this better was to up the framerate a bit. It's a bit slow, and therefore feels clunky. You animated well enough that you could have put it at 18fps or 20 and it would have worked great. (what was it at??? Felt like 12). It just would have been a bit shorter, which is fine since it would have been very smooth.

Overall, its really great and you shouldn't stop. I'd like to see what you can do on Flash.
