Reviews for "Red Storm"

Exciting shooter, but still makes me think.

I enjoyed this game quite a bit. The gameplay suggests a retro feel, but the graphics suggest something more modern. The attention to detail in this game was very clear. As other reviewers have said, the music was a bit... limited, but it still served its purpose.

Even though it was a rather fast-paced shooter, I still found myself employing tactics like running for cover, prioritizing targets based on how threatened I was by them, and (as expected) experimenting with the different weapon types and upgrades.

Oddly enough, even though keys are an overused game mechanism, I found them to work quite well here. I was also pleasantly surprised to find doors didn't relock themselves if I died.

Resetting a few random rooms when the player dies is a very effective measure that adds quite a bit of spice to gameplay, particularly if you return to a room from a different direction than when you first cleared it out.

In short, it's not a terribly long or deep game, but it definitely makes my favorites list. Excellent work.

Very Much like this!

I REALLY like this game! Its got a nice arcade feel to it that some top-down-shooters dont have. I REALLY hope I can find a downloadable version of this! The one thing that gets me is the music like Aacron said. Kinda repetitive! It would be cool if the music got more exiting whenever entering a battle! and adding a feature like a "Jump Module" perhaps? Other than that great game!

Pretty cool.

While I like this style of game, there are a few things that got the two stars down.
Very repetitious. The enemies and soundtrack could use some variance. A big suggestion would be slightly larger levels, and perhaps slower movement overall to improve the tactical MechWarrior feel of the game.

The other thing that kinda annoys me is the whole limitations on what items you can purchase based on what site the game is played on -- wish there were ways to be sponsored on multiple sites at the same time (i.e. wherever your game is found), since these sites are also giving the game visibility.

Other than those things, the game seems pretty good. A nice mash-up of robokill and MW.

pretty good

cool, simple concept however it does get to be a bit repetitive. vary enemies a little bit more? Music gets old after awhile, add different soundtracks? add greater customization to the mech weapons/armor layout would always be great...

over all a decent game, thx for publishing guys!

Awsome!

so many LAZERS! I like the hyper lasers.
