Well then.
For some reason that I can't really quantify, this is one of the few movies that has just stuck in my mind for months and months after I saw it. Like Alanthebox's movies, I had to come back and watch this one many times over the initial holiday season. I really believe that this represents the occult and frightening feelings we all had as children better than most absurd Hollywood directions could in their multi-million dollar budgeted movies. This feeling is what has been lost in Halloween for a more broad trend of dressing up as television, movie, or video game characters and super heroes. When I used to trick or treat, it was about the feelings we all have of fear and the deep, dark occult; raised to be examined on one season instead of repressed and unspoken like all other times of the year.
I really think this is one of the best flask animations submitted to Newgrounds, even though it's animation quality isn't as finely detailed as many others. When it comes down to it, flash animation is art, and this conveys what I believe the animator wanted far better and more effectively than most other flash, especially more-so than the other 2009 Halloween submissions.
