Reviews for "We Just Wanted Candies"

All because of candy.

I came back just to see if you updated it, xD.
It was good. =D
Very original, and very good storyline.
But, with the third floor (I think?), with the pregnant chick?
How does a chick have an adam's apple? XD

Thats some scray shit man

Thats some scray shit man but yeah great job :))

holy balls

that was fucking scary

Wow, just amazing

The storyline is one of the best I've ever seen,
I can't keep thinking of it...
It's the first flash here that really gave me a spooky feeling.
It's what newgrounds keep living.

Oh yeah shadowlord18, hell nice review but try to split it up in some parts, so it is easier to read.

Interesting, and spooky

The thing is, the first time i saw this, I didn't think it was that spooky, and it's only on my second and third time i thought it was creepy. What is really interesting about this movie is all the little symbolisms, and the fact that people will interpret it differently, discounting the details explained in the credits, that they had an accident where the boys died and this is all a dream of the little girl. For the actual nightmare, here is how I interpreted it: that basically, the appartment building was some sort of weird representation of Hell (at one point, it even says clearly in the elevator "hell", after the piano lady scene), the first floor being an obvious reference to war and death, and the red creature being the keeper of the gateway. Then there's the starving man, condemned to keep starving forever, but still gives in total irony the one thing he needs most. The one I like better is the next one, where we have a rape victim, who was so broken by the event that she lost her mind, and now dishes out the same cruelty that was done to her. The candy, however, gives her back some of the innocence of which she was robbed. Then, in the next one, the piano lady I think had dreams of success, which were broken by the fact that she was pregnant, which possibly tempted her to get rid of it, and now her and her unborn child are lost in a spiraling loop of self-destruction. The soldier, is comdemned to repeat without rhyme or reason his murderous acts, killing women and children as he blamed himself for doing during his life. After that, we go in the symbolism of the actual crash, the hand creature, I think, being some sort of representation of nature and random fate, which first knocks out the girl (who in the dream seems to die) and then crushes the jason boy, like he was crushed between the van and the tree. And the last monster, him, is "the ogre" written of in the elevator, who is actually a dark representation of humanity, here in particular of the truck driver, who unlike the hand, is a creature with mind and reason, but still condemns the children to death. He also seems to represent the perversion (note the camera and the weird clothes in the room) and hypocrisy of humanity, first offering his help, only to kill the innocent. Since the boy was solely crushed by the van, he is the one killed by the ogre, and the moment where he eviscerates the boy in front of the girl is the point where the girl wakes up, and does have the boy eviscerated in front of her, the one who gave his life to save her.
Yeah I know, I think too much^^
