Reviews for "The Devil of New Haven"

Fantastic!

Good work man! Great animation and the voice acting was good too. I really like this although the scarecrow idea is overused...but who care? It is well realized and pretty scary! And the easter egg is hilarious!

Decent!

Pacing could be better. You didn't really build any sufficient tension with the scarecrow or anything like that. The story told by the grandfather was probably the spookiest part. You should also work on your facial expressions - regardless of whether these guys are happy, afraid, or whatever, they all have the same vacant expression - save for the grandfather. The scarecrow's voice was also a bit silly.

Everything else was great, though. Your use of color and the palettes on offer here are very strong, and I thought the locales used were pretty cool and very iconic with Halloween.

Nice!!

Is it just me or was the grandpa the boy that got away that one time? :P
stupid teenage boys, what do we learn from horror movies? listen to the storiessss XD

Marsume responds:

I KNOW RIGHT?!

They never listen -_-

Halloweenlicious!

The animation quality was awesome, and the story was decent, but a bit predictable at times. The thing that I think hurt this the most was the lack of variety in voice acting. Specifically with the grandfather character, the voice was terrible, and the whole idea that he was the surviving boy from fifty years ago could've been a bit more obvious, since it was kind of a vital part of the story.

yes

The voice acting thingy kinda sucks.
The rest is pretty good.
Art is really great.
The story is a little weak. You know what is going to happen. The movie deserves the current score.

Marsume responds:

Suggest how the story could be stronger then?
Why does the "voice actingy thingy kinda suck"?
Knowing what's going to happen is called foreshadowing. It's used all the time.

Thanks for the review.
