I like the idea
When I saw sprites, I thought "oh no... not this video game/Mario/Sonic/singing & dancing parody sh*t again...". But that was pretty good. It is the only sprite movie which I gave more than 1/5 (I've rated this 4/5 to be precise).

Glad that you felt it transcended its pixel art roots.
That was thoroughly sobering.
It tells a story I felt deeply... even if it is more than a little reminiscent of Braid. I'd just suggest making those start/continue buttons interactive. Just the act of making the viewer click them for themselves makes the experience a little bit more immersive and personal in an important way.

Maybe. I honestly did not even consider doing that.
I liked it.
Good moral, though as you said, it was a tad messy.
I found the typing sound slightly annoying, but it was a good flash. Short and simple.
