Reviews for "Shark Mountain"

Deserves a look.

While the game becomes stale very quickly, it deserves notoriety for it's unique and original gameplay.

Movie at the beginning very unnecessary. It actually eats away at the charm the game itself had.

Skeik responds:

That's something I've never heard before, a lot of other people feel like the beginning cut scene makes the game, heh.

Thanks for the review.

Fun

It's a fun game, entertained me while downloading a couple movies.
In response to OMFGROFLMAO, when it comes to sharks there are 43 species that can tolerate fresh water "like the bull shark", and 6 rare species of the genus Glyphis that actually live in fresh water with little else known about them.
All in all I found it a good time-waster.

Ehh, sorry

Ooh, it took you 2 years to make this one?
Well, aside from the actual storyline, the physics and gameplay ain't half bad... If it was a minigame. The animation and effects look like they were done on MS paint, and unfortunately you posted it at the same time as Miami Shark, which made my top 10 almost instantly. In the future, I'd set a basic gameplay mechanic, work some nice sound and animation into it, and then curb the play control and engine to better match the rest.

Don't get me wrong, it was fun to play, I couldn't make anything better, but you didn't quite fill my appetite for a good game today.

I'm going to go back and play Miami Shark again.

Skeik responds:

When I say two years, I mean two years from concept to creation. Sometimes we let the game sit for months at a time without even opening it. Two years ago my friend drew something on a napkin that spawned this idea. I've released many different games in the span of those two years and honestly I don't see why the development time even matters.

Like many other flash games, this is basically a fleshed out minigame. The graphics are non Anti-Aliased so the game doesn't slow down too much, but if you like you can turn the graphics up by right clicking, but the game will probably lag too much to play.

It was ok...

The game was entertaining, but I found myself frequently going through the walls and bouncing off of them in irrational directions. Also, I really didn't feel like I was progressing at all, I made 11,000 the first game, 10,000 the second game, 10,000 the third game, 9,000 the fourth game, 11,000 the fifth, 16,000 the sixth, 11,000 the seventh... There's really no learning curve to speak of. Fix up the glitches and this would be a decent game.

Pretty Good

The game is pretty fair, you dont need a bite button like the idiot below me said because in case he didnt notice the shark bites on its own. I think it was pretty fun just to kill a bunch of people, the graphics werent too bad either. overall pretty good game :)
