Reviews for "Frontier"

whooo finished this game in 30 mins. and you call the enforcer's guild the hard mode, like srsly? it was easier killing buccaneers than enforcers.

I love this game, it has a nice trading system, the quests are pretty good, graphics are good, and music is good too.But there is a bug for me i think where when im battling my frame rate drops drastically.Overall fun game

Yeah its fun, but the bugs start to wear on you. Fight through three or four buccaneer piss-ants to arrive at the desired town to conquer and then it bugs out and my convoy just runs passed for eternity, frustrating to be sure. Other than that I liked it, I wouldn't mind a few more options for upgrades.

Has anybody seen that the Enforcement Guild's banner is an eye that is look-like with the Iluminati?

PEOPLE NEED TO STOP FREAKING OUT WHEN YOU SEE BOATS. Boats do not increase the attack of the enemy, do not increase their defence, do not make it harder to run away from, do not mean there are 5 guys ganging up on you at once, it just means that your enemy likely has more than one ally and also likely to be middle-to-high tier. Keep calm and run.

Good game, but...a little easy and repetitive. Basically what you want to do is find the optimization between the item that is cheapest (you can buy most) and item that will give you the most net gain. For example if grain gets +5 while cloth gets +7 in the next town you probably want grain in the beginning since you can buy more of that than cloth, although cloth nets you a higher gain. At least, in theory for the first twenty minutes or so. Then when you get filthy rich it's just diamonds + narcotics over and over again. Try to find an item that is really cheap in one town but gets a huge price boost in the next--that's the sweet spot. Then go back and forth merchandising these items and you get rich too quickly. This scheme would've been foiled if you can buy out all the items in a market permanently, but I guess that's not realistic. Just remember when you're actually carrying illegal stuff...I forget that all the time and letting the enforcers confiscate your stuff hurts. A lot. So much I wonder if it's too much of a punishment in one game. If you don't remember whether you're carrying illegal stuff or not, run or fight them. Losing can always get you a restart, but confiscated money is never returned.

I believe the game was tough to make and I'm so sad there's no sequel, but still, my greedy capitalism instincts lets me enjoy accumulating the gold even when I pass the 1M mark (when there's no longer a point anyway). I would like a bonus for players who completed all the achievements though, like after you get them all, you can travel back and forth with no obstacles or battles that make me want to tear my hair out, or see some production material. Other than that I'm giving it 4.5 stars for being such a classic.
