Oh God the Agonising Pain
This started off looking good, with a cool idea and a nice design which lead me into believing that this would actually be a fun experience. Even when I first jumped and saw the subtitle I thought it was kinda neat as a sort of reward for learning how to jump, but this was all a trap. The game looks great and the animations seem nice and smooth, but you can hardly enjoy that because that stupid black screen pops up for anything you do. Did you even play this yourself to realise that its unbearably annoying, and practically makes the game unplayable. Platformers are basically nothing but jumping that that god damn thing completely ruins the game. How about making it so that the subtitle only appears when you die or something. Still it looked good though.

as others said the subtitles take away from much of this game's potential...
I gave up when I got to an area with a bunch of coins. "YOINK! COIN GET! THIS COULD GET ME RICH! PLEASE STOP ALREADY!"

But still lacking in gameplay for a few simpler reasons...
It is reasonably difficult to get past the speech panels, but not impossible. I don't see why people are complaining so much about it.
I agree, however, that the lack of checkpoints and such kinda sucks for when you're killed because the speech panels throw off your sense of timing to kill enemies.
Otherwise, reasonably enjoyable game.
