Reviews for "Broked It"

hmm

Pretty good

Awesome, dude!

Great song, man! I agree that it is too short, though. It says, "I've got this awesome idea!" But then it cuts off embarrassingly, as if saying "Nah, nevermind. It's stupid. Don't listen to me." You should seriously consider coming back and expanding this song. I think it'd be a serious mistake not to finish it.

As for the bass part, it'd be really awesome if you could post it somewhere. This is as much as I've been able to figure out so far:

Intro:
I broke it up into different chords, figured out the base (bottom) note first and then the melody (top) notes. The rest is figuring out the chords from those notes. I'm not well-versed enough in music theory to do it by notes only, so I ended up doing it from steps (3rd, m3rd, 4th, 5th, oct., etc.). This song does not use the E string (as far as I can tell).

1st chord: A [oct] A [3rd] C# A/ A A [5th] E A (2x)
2nd chord: E [5th] B [4th] E B (4x)
(The rest I haven't got yet)
3rd chord: base - E; played on G-string - B C D
4th chord: base - D; G-string - D
5th chord: (Rhythm change) base - A; G-string - A C A# A A
6th chord: base - B; G-string - B D C D D

Chorus:
A G# G F# F G A (w/ opt. 5th to E first time through)

That's the best I can do right now. I doubt its correctness, too. I've only been playing bass for a little under a year now (teaching myself, to boot). This bass part takes a lot more skill to play than Hysteria (which is actually deceptively simple).

SWiTCH responds:

Thanks for the review! I agree that it stops abruptly. I'm thinking about adding stuff.
I can't really comment on the accuracy of your chords (because I don't know them by name), but I'll post some tabs in my profile since people are asking.

Sweet

Very nice, reminds me a bit of the offdpring. that drummer really knows how to work a double bass, and the bassist is up there man

SWiTCH responds:

Drums are electronic, but thanks! :)
