Reviews for "Maschine."

Good song, could use editing, hurts a tiny bit though... Mostly agreeing with whats been said in the comment before mine.

KittenBeat responds:

Wasn't made to show off the limit of my ability. <o<
So deal with it. :T

Tip!

You said that without the distortion, the song sounded lame. If you want to make house, do some sidechaining if you want to have some fill and create an environment.

Also, have multiple oscillations playing the same or similar notes for melody.
Your melody was too loud, and it had distortion. A little EQ and phasing could fix the issue.

I really like the glide you added.

KittenBeat responds:

I am very familiar with side-chaining, I use it often. As stated in the description, it's not my maschine, so I wasn't familiar enough with the program to worry about the little details in the 30~45 minutes I had to play with the thing.
But thank you for the advice nonetheless.

I really love this!!! House music is always great when you do it right but you did it perfect!!! :D

Check out some of my new songs? :3

KittenBeat responds:

Will do. :3

Cool, although it sounds a bit like it's clipping in the beginning the ambience of the distortion effect probably gives the whole song a completely different feeling.

KittenBeat responds:

It is clipping. The distortion really does. It sounds kind of flat and lame without it. Although, it's not technically a distortion effect, it sounds like that because I took two recordings of the song, put one into an old, abused tape machine, and then played it back and recorded it, matched it with the original, and balanced them like 40% : 60% : : Dirty : Clean.
Then I expanded the clean one and compressed the dirty one, and put a multiband on top.

Pretty dang good man. I think the instruments need to be a little more balanced out, but other than that it all sounds really good. Nice transitions and seems to be proper instruments, they just need some mastering to fit together a little better :)

I'm not sure what you men by balanced out, but thanks.
Also no sure what "Proper instruments" are, because I only used two instruments in the whole song, with different settings.
If you want to try to master it, be my guest.
