Simple pleasures
I enjoyed it. I thought it was a good speed. Multiple ways to kill enemy. Could probably be more challenging but it is still very fun.
Pants!!
Too slow an to b honest bored me to death needs a little tweakin up m8 but all in all a good effort!
I played all the way through...
..and I was bored out of my mind by the end. The game-play could definitely be sped up a bit.
Cool
Combat was a little less tactical than I would have liked, and you made a classic mistake in presentation, overwhelming the player with lengthy strings of text for a tutorial and too much info too early on. Players like to have things presented to them gradually as they go, preferably a hands on approach such as tips popping up during the first few battles. Not that I have anything against some reading in my games, it's just that no one wants to read a giant manual on how to play a game they're not even sure if they will like yet.
The pace I've found works best is start out giving the player a simple task, let the gamer play around with it just long enough to get a little bored, then introduce a new feature.
A strange glitch I got was the war tutorial showing up on the overworld map and I can't seem to get rid of it without restarting the game. I had some fun with this game overall, I don't mean to offend you with my suggestions it's just that I think if a reviewer can't flag out an area or two that needs improvement then he/she isn't doing a very good job.
