I'll say I don't like the hand, It looked like the solution to obstructing the view was to simply have it draw less. It's seen here drawing the first set of characters and the glass dome. That leaves the monster, the radio, and the snail all appearing from off screen or from the camera panning. My impression; I don't like it.
On the plus side, the sound effects are well done, and the camera pans were a great way to set the focus where you want it to be.
